Following the recent successful London FM broadcast NME Radio launches today in central Manchester on the same frequency: 87.7fm. The temporary broadcast runs until 7 December and provides fans of indie alternative music an additional platform on which to listen to the station.
NME Radio managing director Sammy Jacob says: “It's great to have a dedicated platform in Manchester for the month of November and to provide the city with a true alternative to the mainstream.”
Some of the station's features during the month include Vampire Weekend recorded live at The Forum (23 Nov) plus live studio sessions with We Have Band (Nov 25) and Dinosaur Pile Up (Nov 27).
NME Radio launched on June 24. The station features live sessions, music news, interviews, gig and festival guides along with the best indie alternative music. NME Radio is an essential listen for any fan of cutting-edge music.
NME Radio is also available on Sky 0184, Virgin Media 975, Freesat 727 and online via www.nmeradio.co.uk.
